HORROR STORY

Halloween story

That was a dark summer night, where the stars were shinning and the moon was full.

As soon as they finished with the dinner, Bob and Lucy went to the beach to enjoy the night. They were talking to each other, and soon the love grew in them. They were so distract so they didn’t realise that someone or something was following them. But after a while Bob somehow figured out that there was something wrong, and he said:

Lucy: What’s going on? Are we going to fast?

Bob: No, don’t mind, is just that I felt something on my feet.

Lucy: Ok but you are scare to death.

Bob: Take it easy, was nothing, believe me.

So they started kissing one each other again until Lucy felt into the ground because there was some kind of an aquatic monster pulling Lucy’s feet. That was such a ugly monster, he looked like a human fish or a sort of triton.

The triton said: Let the princess Venus go to the deepest part of the ocean.

Lucy started crying without stop, Bob tried to help her, but the monster punched him knocking Bob out. So Bon couldn’t do anything to help when the monster took Lucy with him to the ocean.

Since then, every summer night it’s possible to see Bob’s phantom crying on the beach

Sweet Child O’mine

She’s got a smile that it seems to me

Reminds me of chilbood memories

Where everything

Was as fresh as the bright blue sky

Now and then when I see her face

She takes me away to that special place

And if I stared too long

I’d probably brake down and cry

Oh, ho, ho…Sweet child o’mine

Oh, ho, ho…Sweet love of mine

She’s got eyes of the bluest skies

As if they thought of rain

I hate to look into those eyes

And see an ounce of pain

Her hair reminds me of a warm safe place

Where as a child I’d hide

And pray for the thunder

And the rain

To quietly pass me by

Oh, ho, ho…Sweet child o’mine

Oh, ho, ho…Sweet love of mine

Oh, ho, ho…Sweet child o’mine

Oh, ho, ho…Sweet love of mine

Oh, ho, ho…Sweet child o’mine

Oh, ho, ho…Sweet love of mine

Where do we go

Where do we go now

Where de we go

Sweet child o’mine

La meva dolça nena

Ella té un somriure que em fa

Recordar la meva infància

On tot

Era tan fresc com el brillant cel blau

Ara i després quan veig la seva cara

Ella em porta a aquell lloc especial

I si hi mirava massa temps

Probablement em tornaria boig i ploraria

Oh, ho, ho…la meva dolça nena

Oh, ho, ho…el meu dolç amor

Ella té els ulls dels cels més blaus

Com si pensessin a ploure

Odio mirar dintre aquells ulls

I veig un pes dolorós

El seu cabell em recorda a un lloc càlid i segur

On m’amagava quan era nen

I reso per els trons

I la pluja

Que tranquil·lament passen per mi

Oh, ho, ho…la meva dolça nena

Oh, ho, ho…el meu dolç amor

Oh, ho, ho…la meva dolça nena

Oh, ho, ho…el meu dolç amor

Oh, ho, ho…la meva dolça nena

Oh, ho, ho…el meu dolç amor

On amem?

On anem ara?

On anem?

Dolça nena

Aiguamills (description)

This photo was taken in February of 2008 on a trip with my higschool to the “Aiguamolls” of Empurdà.

The people were running and playing around me.

And I was alone with my camara and in this moment I felt very nice and relaxed, for this reason I took this photo.

Photo:

I was at the beach, you can see the clean beach in the photo. The sound touches the blue sea, it was vary clean because of the fantastic day. In the sea there were a lot of different blues, dark, light because of the sun.

In the background there is Roses, Sta. Margarita, Empuriabrava with their mountains that end at the sea, the end of the Pirineus. Everything is covered by a clear sky of winter, there aren’t clouds, birds, planes, supermen, anything. Everything starts at the mountains with a white sky and become bluer and bluer to a dark blue.

I think that is a nice photo for relaxing and thinking about the good things of life.

Oral presentation of JAMAICA

Pep Esteve and Màrius Duñanch

The differences of Jamaica:

The news, the programs of the TV, the politics, the offices of tourism always say that Jamaica is a beautiful and perfect continent. They say that Jamaica is rich and the habitants lie good. But it isn’t really.
Yes, a lot of parts of Jamaica are poor, the people live in the streets because they are poor or the hurricanes has destroyed they houses and they families, very children haven’t parents and they live in solitary.
This people live in poor areas of Jamaica and they haven’t food and in the end they died to cause of an ill.

Because, they haven’t resources economic for live good and they can’t buy medicines.

Climate:

Jamaica is an Island of the equator, in the Caribbean Sea and the next to Cuba and dominical Republic.
The medium temperature is of 27ºC, so it is a hot country like all countries of the equator. No rain habitually but, the little rains are very stringers and it causing inundations.
Also exist the problem of the hurricanes and tornados that it is usually at in the end of summer.
Animals and flowers:
The island is rich in flowers, it has 3.000 different species of flowers and only 800 live on the island.
And also on the island there are different exotic animal like Papadakos, cuckoos and colibris.

Estates, areas, and habitants:

Jamaica is separated into 13 regions. It is surface is 10.991km2
With 1.222m of beaches, also the island has an important relief with the blue mountain which is 2.256m high.
On this island there are 2.343.700 habitants, and the capital is Kingston.

History:

Colom was the discoverer in 1494, the Spanish people went to live here and killed the native people, and in 1655 Jamaica was conquered by England and this set a Britain colony but, in 1949 the Island get a self government and finally Jamaica to become independent in the commonwealth in 1962.
The long year that the England was in the island is the reason of because the official language the Jamaica is English.

Religion:

In Jamaica exist two cultures the protestant and the Rastafarian that is the native culture.
In Jamaica the habitants are in a 45% the protestant and a 55% are the culture Rastafarian. The Rastafarian born in Jamaica in 1930 in the native people and the working class. This culture is against racism and defense of the native people. In this culture they believe that Haile Selassie I Emperetor of Ethiopia is a god.

Economy of Jamaica:

The economy of the island depends on the tourism and only 14% of the zone is dedicated on the agriculture.
The people of the zone cultivate: coffee, chocolate, sugar cane and tobacco. But also the island has industries of chemical, run, petroquimic and suger.

Festivals of Jamaica:

Mo bay:

Every Monday night there is one of the most important street parties of the Caribbean, when Montego Bay is a host of Mo Bay Night Out.
Both visitors and residents give themselves an appointment in this carnival in Gloucester Avenue to amuse themselves to the pace of the bands of percussions, as well as of reggae and calipso.

Reggae sunsplash:

Also diverse annual celebrations are carried out as the Reggae Sunsplash, which is a musical festival of the world renown that is effected in Kingston, every year in summer, and that attracts more than 25 thousand people Celebration that extends the whole day and the whole night, for one week.

Day of the independence

Another picturesque appointment during August is the Day of the Independence of Jamaica. In this festivity, the singing, the dance and the artistic exhibitions and kitchen competitions, culminate in a parade of disguises and in a party that, in Kingston, lasts the whole night.
From there, the professional revelers are transported dancing towards Port Antonio to take part in the happy Jamboree of 10 days, which includes grills on the beach, cabarets and, certainly, during the whole night to the pace of local groups of soca and reggae.

Carnival:
In April, the carnival fever invades the island for nine days with parades, dances, contests of disguises.

Music:

In Jamaica different styles of music has been born and some very well known in the world.
Some of those styles of music are ska, reggae, rocksteady, dub, dancehall, and reggae and ragga jungle.
But the most well known are ska and reggae.

Ska:

Ska was born in Kingston, the capital of Jamaica. It is a style of music of the 1960s; this music was born of the fashion of the American black music like jazz and blues with the Caribbean popular music like the mento and the calypso.
Ska is a style that has been incorporated into different languages of music.
Ska is identificated with a particular identity, between street nostalgic and mysterious.
And the origin of the name ska has two hypotheses:
The first hypothesis says that Cluet Jonson, a of the components of the skatalites to say hello he said skavoovie and from this came the origin of the name ska.
On the other hand, the second hypothesis is that of the guitarist of the same band, said that the name ska was the form to describe the sound that the guitar did in this style.

This style in 1970 is mixture of punk and ska is become in a faster sound and contending but, keeping the style happy.

The ska has an ideology against the prejudicial racism.

Reggae:

The reggae is a kind of music of Jamaican origin.
The term reggae is derivation of reggae that is an abbreviation of ragamuffin. And this name was used for the poor people of Jamaica, the rastas and the cultural movements of the poor areas.
The reggae is based in a ritmic style characterized by regular cuts played by the ritmic drum.

The reggae is associated with the movement Rastafarian. This movement is influenced by reggae music.
In the first the reggae utilized only in the ceremonies Rasta but years after the reggae became in a form of musical expression in the ghettos of Jamaica.
So the subject of the music reggae was of style social, religious and political. Bob Marley was the most well know singer of the world of reggae.

Bob Marley:

The real name of bob Marley was Robert Nesta Marley; he was singer Jamaican and member of the Rastafarian movement. He is an important in Jamaica because he had did famous the reggae in the first a music of Jamaica, and because he was a very important profet of the movement Rastafarian.
He lived in Kingston where he met Bunny and other music and they made a group of music ehit the name “The Wailer”.
This group in the first It hasn’t success, but three years after they get success with the CD “Exodus” but they get a lot of success with the CD “Uprising” in 1980 with the song “Could be loved”. This year was the best for the band they have a lot of concert and fans.

After of the end the European tour, the walers travel in unities states of America when Bob died of a cancer caused for a hurt in the finger of the foot.
For End the exposition of Jamaica we went that you watch the video of Bob and we went tell a curiosity of Bob Marley. This curiosity is that the doctors found a 140 different species of Louse in his had.

This oral presentation was very funny for us, because the topic of Jamaica was happy with rastafariant people, Bob Marley and tipical parties. We worked reath hard for this oral presentation and I think that finally is a nice job and also I think that was the best oral presentation of our class.

LAIA FONT DUÑACH DESCRIPTION!!!!!!!

I met Laia for thirteen years, and all these years we have were together in the same class. She was a funny child with a horrible hair like a mushroom. But now a day is like a sister for me.

Laia is a short girl (1,55m), but she is better than the most important model.

Her hair is dark-blond and short, her head is little, like her and she has two beautiful brown eyes that shine a lot. Her nose is little and round, next to it there are big cheeks and finally she has a funny mouth that can’t stop laughing with white teeth. I love her smile.

Her neck is strong and short, followed by a nice body (90 – 64 – 80).

Her arms are short and strong and strong and at the end there are her hands with magic fingers for music.

Her body is little but it is also attractive to our eyes.

Strong legs thanks to volleyball, and finally her feet (size 38).

Her mind only thinks about good things. Because she is the funniest person that I know, she makes you feel nice and relaxed when you speak to her. She always helps me in the hard moments, for this reason she is my best friend, she is very important for me. I have loved her for 13 years. But she also has a strong character when people are impolite to her.

I think that she will be an incredible person in her life and work.

Note: Thanks Xor for all your help!!!

Letter to Miss. Pintó

The headmistress

IES Castelló d’Empúries

Carrer del Rentador, 6

Catselló d’Empúries

Dear Mis. Pintó

We are writing this letter to tell you about the good and bad things of the IES Castelló d’Empúries. On the one hand we want to tell you that we are very happy in this high school, but on the other hand you also know that there are bad things and we are writing this letter to help you to improve these little things.

We are so proud about the level of the high school; our centre is one of the best of the Alt Empordà because a lot of people pass the selectivity with good marks.

We think that the computers and Beemer in class is a great initiative, because we can learn by using technology, also we can show our work and oral presentations.

First, years ago we don’t need more space, but now the new part of the centre helps us to study more calmly. The aspect of the centre is cold, but it is a nice atmosphere for studying because there aren’t colors but there is a lot of light.

We prefer the new technique of English class, because we have learned more, and we can speak with freedom.

The centre in general is correct because there aren’t problematic people and the people try to learn. The atmosphere is good, and this is thanks to the work of the Headmistress and the rest of the teachers.

You and we know that nothing in the life is perfect, for this reason we are going to tell you about the bad things of the centre.

In our opinion there are a lot of good teachers, but also there are teachers that don’t explain naturally and we don’t understand anything and they don’t do anything to explain better.

Be careful with the problems of the space if you want the high to grow.

We are proud to study in this beautiful centre and we encourage to you go on in the same way.

Thanks for all tese years.

Faithfull
